Gorey Market House Festival has become one of the leading family festivals in the Southeast. Live music, busking, family fun day (Saturday), open-air Farmers Market, food demonstrations. Hooked Kitefest, Duncannon Beach - August
In the past this has been one of the stops on the Irish Kitesurfing Association tour. Spectators get an opportunity to witness the very best junior, female and male riders from across Ireland and Europe as they compete over the weekend in a series of course racing events. In the past it has celebrated the richness of traditional crafts and skills in the area, including Cookery, Crafts, Agricultural and Horticultural produce. Phil Murphy devised a playing technique for the diatonic harmonica involving modal music and vamping accompaniment with spectacular effect when added to fast reels and jigs. He passed his technique onto his sons, John and Pip. This festival remembers Phil Murphy.
